About the event
In this 1-hour workshop, students will learn:
- To read Chinese and Western drum notation
- The fundamental techniques such as wrist motion, finger control, and grip
- To develop listening skills to identify and play different rhythms
- To decipher and understand how to play in various time signatures and use them to create interesting rhythms
- To control the volume of your drumming to create dynamics
- To follow the beat and play rhythms together as an ensemble
